Teen charged in 'Mortal Kombat' death pleads not guilty

This article at http://www.9news.com/...">http://www.9news.com/news/local/article.aspx?storyid=97699&catid=346]htt... starts off with:

Quote:The teen accused of killing a 7-year-old girl while acting out the videogame "Mortal Kombat" pleaded not guilty in court Friday.

Lamar Roberts, 17, is charged with child abuse resulting in death.

It also later says:

Quote:They say he and Garcia's half-sister, Heather Trujillo, 17, were imitating "Mortal Kombat," a videogame the couple played together.

Trujillo was sentenced in July for her role in Garcia's death.

She received an 18-year suspended prison sentence. As part of a plea deal, Trujillo will spend six years in a youth offender program.

The fairly brief article Man

The fairly brief article Man in alleged 'Mortal Kombat' death sentenced to 36 years basically just says that Lamar Roberts "has been sentenced to 36 years in prison" after the "Eighteen-year-old Lamar Roberts pleaded guilty last month to knowingly or recklessly causing a death through child abuse ...".
