This video gamer admits his habit nearly drove him to suicide.
Megyn Kelly sits down with Charlie Bracke, who says he sometimes spent more than 12 hours a day playing video games. The Entertainment Software Association provided this statement: "The American Psychiatric Association and the American Medical Association studied this issue extensively and decided against creating a new category for video games. Legitimate science, objective research, and common sense all prove video games are not addictive. By misusing the word addiction, which is a medical term, society demeans real compulsive behaviors, like alcoholism and drug abuse, which deserve treatment, compassion, and care."
Because the United States is a capitalist country, money is considered to be more important then our own citizen's lives. Because the gaming companies make millions of dollars, after getting their own customers addicted, our country supports them. BUT, the World Health Organisation accepts "gaming disorder" as a valid condition. http://www.who.int/features/qa/gaming-disorder/en/
