I saw about this website tonight on the local news. A fairly popular YouTube video was played as an "example" of some kid "freaking out" because he couldnt play his game. This video is fake, it is staged. This kid is an actor just like the YouTube video with the German kid destroying his keyboard.
Anyways, I just wanted to let you know that this organization's cause is just, but in the future do a bit of research before putting your name on something fake. Also, if it was the channel's choice of video, make sure they don't use something like that next time.
Dear neb, I remember when that video first came out. That was a quite a while ago. I do not know if that video was fake or not. What proof to you have that it was? It did not look fake to me.
I did not put the story together, the TV station does that. I have no idea what the final cut looks like until I see it on TV.

I saw the comic Tosh.0 recently interview the kid,who is older now, in that video. He explained how the whole scene happened and why he was annoyed at his mother for closing his wow account that day. Seemed real to me.
The question is....will you be able/courageous/adult enough to sacrifice that which merely pleases you...for that which will truly fulfill you? That is the question of personal growth.

So what's the point of coming here and pointing out if it's fake or not? Do you think it's any less a scenario? I can promise you people do freak out that badly when games are taken away. Just read some of the stories on this site and see. I know I got very violent in the depths of my addiction. If you want to believe that or not, it's up to you. Liz really has no power in what fox news chooses to clip in the story with her. On that note, nobody accuses fox of ever really telling the truth...

There is no point in coming here to argue about it.
I think the kid wants us to think it is fake, so he doesn't look like such an idiot. I do not believe it was fake.

Wait a minute.
We don't "put our name" on anything. We don't endorse or promote any outside cause or group or story or video or news network or anything.
If OLGA's name has been used without its consent, or if there is a statement or even an implication that we DO endorse or promote something, we need to know about it so we can take appropriate legal action.
I assume you drew the conclusion that OLGA "endorses" the video shown on the news program because our name was juxtaposed with the showing. However, this could not be farther from the truth. The ensuing debate about the video's truth or falsity is a perfect example of why we confine our efforts to our fellowship and do not get involved with issues such as this video.
I hope that this adequately explains our position vis-a-vis the video and news program. If you have any further questions, feel free to PM me.

Regardless of whether it was legit or not, many people viewed it. Thus it brought awareness to the gaming addiction.
And like Jane said, OLGA does not endorse.

Yeah, I don't know if it's fake or not, but sometimes art imitates life. If that scene didn't depict something that actually happens in one form or another, it wouldn't be funny or interesting.
The only winning move is not to play.
