Here is a recommendation:
One Breath at a Time: Buddhism and the Twelve Steps, by Kevin Griffin.
I've found this book to be helpful for someone coming from a non Judeo-Christian tradition. It looks at the language, traditions, and forms of the 12 step process and places them in a Buddhist context. It is also a direct and honest account of addiction and recovery.
