Hey guys, not sure whether this should go under the recommended material or the sponsorship section, but this blog written by an AA member, talks alot about sponsorship and the ins and outs of his program and how he does it all. He's got 20 years+ of recovery, and what he says speaks to me at least.
I found what he wrote about 10th step inventories especially useful, since getting to sleep has always been an issue for me, and I've heard nightly 10th step inventories are a great way to relaz the mind and allay those racing thoughts and guilts and remorses etc. that we all face.
So here it is: http://mrsponsorpants.typepad.com/mr_sponsorpants/
Sorry if this doesn't belong here :x

Good stuff, Chris. Thanks for this link.
Acceptance. When I am disturbed, it is because a person, place, thing, or situation is unacceptable to me. I find no serenity until I accept my life as being exactly the way it is meant to be. Nothing happens in God’s world by mistake. Acknowledge the problem, but live the solution!
Thanks for this, Chris.
I sense a general principle here. As a teacher, I've known for a long time that people learn not by focusing on what they don't know, but by using what they do know to solve a problem.
So we don't get better by beating ourselves up for what we are not doing, but rather by getting better at what we are already doing well.
And we enjoy our friends and family more when we appreciate what they bring to our relationships with them, and on what we can bring to them, rather than focusing on what has not happened in the past.
And we get more good things in life by focusing on being grateful for what we have, not complaining about what we lack.
And we get rid of resentments not by focusing on the bad that people have done, but by focusing on the good we can do.
Hmmmmm.....
I am a recovering computer game and gambling addict. My recovery birthday: On May 6, 2012 I quit games and began working a program of recovery through OLGA No computer games or slot games for me since December 12, 2012. No solitaire games with real cards since June 2013.
Awesome! Thank you for the link.

I got found out!
Okay, I have a new internet crush on this guy. Not necessarily my favorites or by any means the only quotables I've found so far, just a few of the handiest -
And regarding coping with the holidays -

LOL!! I have to remember that--saying the Serenity Prayer over and over in your head.
