Addiction? Hmm -- want to quit?

I'm sorry if this sounds harsh, but its so ridiculous how people say they cannot quit.

This whole addiction thing is nothing but an excuse for people who want to play too much to continue playing more saying they have a sickness and they cannot stop.

Want to quit? Truly?

- Uninstall the game.
- Have your guild leader ban you from its web site.
- Delete your characters/sell your account. Its very easy.
- Dont listen to others who ask you to preserve your EQ experience just in case you want to come back. YOU DONT WANT TO COME BACK, THAT IS THE POINT!!! These are addicts who just dont want to be alone.
- Break your CD's in half or sell them. Thats right, your life is worth more than the CD's. Get over it.
- Buy another game or take up a hobby with someone close to you if there are any left.
- Lose your whole "power gamer" title. Its retarded . . . and nothing to be proud of.
- Buy a pet you know you will love too much to neglect (if you buy a pet and neglect it, sell it. If you hurt your pet out of neglect, don't meet me).
- Take on another project at work in order to sap more time.
- BUY ANOTHER GAME that is addicting enough to get out of EQ but gets boring after 2 hours. Thats right -- 2 hours is not a lot per day for you to relax. 5+ hours is.
- Stop making excuses for your play time. "I cant stop" is bs . . . you dont want to stop.

and finally . . .

Get over yourself and apologize to everyone you've alienated because you think you are actually a stalwart warrior of roaming the norrathian frontier.

Actually, I live in the same world as you. I once played 14 hours a day . . .

I stopped cold one day.

I came back about a half a year later to play 2-3 hours a night, 4 days a week at most.

That is not fantasy. It is a reality and if a person is strong enough to do it . . . they will do it.

what i mean is that you made it look so easy, by saying "I'm sorry if this sounds harsh, but its so ridiculous how people say they cannot quit"., i mean every persons situation in unique some way. And it isn't simple; it is so many factors who is involved|

No . . . it is that simple.

Real Life > Game

Game is Screwing up Real Life

Remove Game

Real life takes priority.
