"There is a HELL of a lot more to do other than WATCH T

It's true, seeing as I can manage to play EQ, instant message people, surf the web, eat whatever meal corresponds with the time of night, AND play bass. In other words if I just watched TV instead of EQ I would be seriously slacking off.

That is true, there is so much more to life out there. But, when I first quit EQ, I have to admit that I used tv as a crutch. I did get into the shows that I had missed because of my EQ playing. But now more than 6 months later, I fill my time with a lot more things than just tv. But I will be the first to say that I rarely miss an ER, Survivor, or Buffy episode.

There is many, many more things to do than playing EQ. Now, any given person is going to have different preferences about which hobbies they like and dislike, but for me...I've been programming a lot, learning new operating systems, studying networking, doing some white hat stuff, reading, and basically just trying to love life.
There are so many details and intricacies to living all around you that you never notice until you really get inspired about having a sincere respect for all of the opportunities in life. I really feel like I just need to contribute something to society in general, and can't believe I wasted 1000 hours of my life playing a game. Haven't played any games for quite some time now, other than at lan parties of course
Try to realize your own potential; everyone is capable of doing so much in life if they only have confidence in themselves and make an effort. You only live once...concentrate on that. Do you want to just die after a while and be forgotten and uterly insignificant to everyone?
