Welcome, friend...
...and congratulations! You've made the first, most important step, and that is to recognize that your gameplay has gotten out of hand. While you might not appreciate the importance of that right now, you will soon. The fact that this website exists means that there are countless others like you who are going through what you are now. Those of us here, who have created this forum know exactly what it feels like to not be in control or to feel desperation or even worse.
Unfortunately, most will never seek help for their problem and it will continue to deteriorate their lives and relationships. The power of addiction is a strong force, no matter what the "drug" of choice is.
As we develop this website, we will be implementing several tools for you to use, including this discussion board for folks to provide support for each other. Going it alone is tough, and often we hardcore gamers, when our gameplay is at our worst, have probably alienated ourselves from our friends and family as part of our addiction...the very people who might otherwise serve as a support group for our recovery. A cruel irony, indeed. But we will help you try to rebuild those long lost friendships and relationships, for those are the people who will truly be there to help you in your real-life times of need.
So, join us and please share your story in the "My Story" section of this message board. You will be helping not only yourself, but others who maybe have not reached the first step as you just have. You are empowering yourself and taking control of your life back as you read this, whether you realize it or not!
Again, welcome!

Thanks for the welcome. I love the fact that I am not alone in my recovery. I feel the power of having a group to relate with concerning my video game use. I am grateful to have found OGLAnon and I am not going to rest until I get far from my addiction. (years of recovery) Once again, thanks for the welcome. I feel welcome already.
