2 months, wow (not WOW, awesome wow haha)

Can you believe it? It has been 2 months since I've played a video game. I haven't even gotten on MSN for the small freeby games or renew my subscription to Lord of the Rings Online. I know I haven't been active but trust me I have been fighting. I actually have been filling my time with school work. My grades have gone up and I'm starting to enjoy doing my work. I have a big research paper due that I've enjoyed working on. It is about Africa and I've even thought about going on a missions trip to there.
I have to admit though that I still have a strong desire to play. I've actually changed my attitude towards these desires as just something that won't go away. Some days are harder than others but the only thing I focus on is that day. "Today I will not play video games. Just today." However, it is going to be hard this Summer. I've decided not to take any classes but I know that if I don't feel my time with something other than TV I will only fall back. So I am going to get a library card and try to read more. I may even go back to writing fiction. I watched the entire series of "Roughnecks: Starship Troopers Chronicles" and I want to work on a fan website and write some fan fiction. Just something to fill the void. School isn't the strongest filler nor does it really make me that happy. I also plan on making a personal reading list. I have some books I haven't finished yet like Stranger in a Strange Land and some history books. I also want to read some classics by Charles Dickens and Edgar Allen Poe. I hope you are all doing well. I appologize for not sticking by and watching the forums. I actually had to cut that back because sometimes it turns out to be all that I do. This whole fight against gaming addiction has turned out to be a greater realization of how I spend my time.
