I have found that when I break the game discs, I eventually get off my video games for a while. Then I later borrow them from friends and my addiction starts all over again until I have to give the game back.
However, compared to a year ago, my game addiction has improved drastically. Before I used to play like 2-3 hours everyday and about 8-10 hours a day on weekends, blanketing out everything else in my life and around me.
Now however, I only play about 10 hours a week. I have found that there is more to life than just video games. Obviously, Im not out here to tell you to ask "GOD" for help but just giving you a few things that can get your mind off of games
1) Working out (I like the p90x workout check it out, it changes your life and is changing mine right now as we speak).
2) Volunteer at a food bank, at the library, just give back to others in your community.
3) Investigate the meaning of life.(This is a big one but I've found that when I take out video games, I have been able to find an answer to satisfy myself).
4) Read (actually quite good i used to hate books before and thought they were only for nerds lol), Take a shower (video gaming a lot always screw up your hygiene), change your appearance like fix your hair, wear clean clothes because often us game addicts always forget about what we come across as to other people.
Remember, no one is perfect, everyone, breaks under the test of time. So it is only natural to fail. But what is also natural is to keep getting back up. If only we knew.
