This is an important post for me. I am 38 years old former compulsive gamer. Been trying to work on my goals and be motivated with mediocre results. I really donaEU(tm)t want to write muchaEU|I donaEU(tm)t want to get this off subject. The million dollar question is- How do you believe in yourself more and have passion for life. Please post if you can help.
I like this from 7 Habits of Highly Effective People:
I can change. I can live out of my imagination instead of my memory. I can tie myself to my limitless potential instead of my limiting past. I can become my own first creator.
I want to tear down the walls that hold me inside, I want to reach out and touch the flame.
Thank You, :)

Get a passion for your life? Look at the pictures of starving children in famine ravaged African nations- stop being so selfish and self-indulgent- and then thank God almighty for your life? Believe in yourself more? Same as above! And K-Dog, keep reading this site ans talking to people ina similar position.
I've been trying to figure out the same thing. I figure a new hobby would fit me, but have no passion for another hobby. I figure I just put myself deeper into work and family and try and forget about the rest. But the 'game' is addictive. Motivation also seems to be my other down fall as well. I think I need this imagination I have to get by because nothign else works. Religion is not my sene either. I know I've tried it. Where is that gentle escape when I need it. And where.
You know, The Secret, by Rhonda Byrne (the book which was on the bestseller list a few years back), is all about the passion of life and creating the life you want. I highly recommend the dvd The Secret...is makes the words of the book come alive for me; I prefer it much more than the book. I just watched my dvd again a few weeks ago and it got be excited for life again.
The question is....will you be able/courageous/adult enough to sacrifice that which merely pleases you...for that which will truly fulfill you? That is the question of personal growth.
