'Ello, I've been playing online games for 4 years now, I'm currently 17 years of age, I go to a grammar school in england and I have alot of friends, and get good grades.
EQ Isn't ruining my life, OTHER People assume I am ruining my own life, but I can guarantee I am having alot more fun than them when they are sitting at home bored out of their mind.
The logic I can't quite understand, is that one person kills himself publically out of 600-700, THOUSAND People... that is a VERY Small percentage.
Now take the percentage of Normal people, who are maybe slighly mentall instable, who kill themselves, i can GUARANTEE the percentage will be alot less than of the one guy who killed himself.
How do YOU know your son killed him self over eq?, You know nothing.. He probably had other problems, and didn't tell you about.
80% of kids play video games, thats a fact.. so if one out of those 700,000 people die, it's because of Video games? or watchign t.v?
-- Liz i hope you don't drink, or any of the hypocrtical mods on this board, cuz if you did, you would know out of 1 million people who drink approximately 2000 of those will die from live failure. And that statistic ALONE times your sons statistic by 2000.

The pain that countless people go through due to excessive gaming is not the pain of death. It's the pain of lost productivity, poor health, lost personal relations, loss of the companionship of their friends, parents, spouses and children, lost jobs, derailed careers, lost income and lost respect -- including lost self-respect.
