Hello everyone,
Another FALSE alarm.
I have many GREAT responses to this request. I thank everyone for getting back to me.
It is my understanding that the content of this show has changed.
They are now looking for a couple who are living in disarray because of gaming. They want to go in and fix them.
I do not support this, nor will I be involved in it.
They are not interested in exposing the gaming companies, or getting the word out that more than that couple need help.
Sorry, but I was hoping that Dr. Phil would still be above board. All they are interested in are ratings.

Liz, I spoke with your contact in Los Angeles last night and was pretty impressed with what she had to say. They seem to be looking for "extreme examples" (her exact words) of the impact of gaming on people's lives. The focus on one or two broken marriages is pretty consistent with the show's format, so I wouldn't regard this as a "false alarm" at all. I was never counting on Dr. Phil to do an expose format program - it's not the type of show he does. Anyway, the show is still a 'go,' but the taping has been pushed back to late September. They've asked me to email a bio and a recent photo. I explained that while I am in recovery, my habit nearly ended my marriage and my life. Hopefully there's something in my experience that can serve the needs of their audience.
The happiness of a man in this life does not consist in the absence but in the mastery of his passions.
