GAMERS who want help with time spent gaming

Because I am on the front, with gaming issues, many people contact me about all sorts of gaming subjects.

One company is developing a aEUoetoolaEU for computer and game usage monitoring and control.

This can be used by the parents AND by the gamer. The gamer can actually set an amount of time to allow him/herself to play a day, a week, a month, etc. This will allow access to the rest of the computer, and only monitor the gaming activity.

I spoke with Dr. Block and great length. I applaud him for developing this product, to help gamers with their compulsion. The name of the product is WALLFLY.

Right now, Dr. Block needs 10 gamers to contact him as they want to do BETA and see what the gamers think about this tool, and what they can do to IMPROVE it.

WallFly

Is a voluntary and easily customizable system that will limit access to computer games based on content, category, time periods, and other parameters. Allows a gamer to transparently monitor, control, or ban access to games with objectionable graphic violence or sexual content. Is quick to install and easy to administer. It requires no knowledge of specific objectionable software and works instead by establishing and transparently enforcing custom and individual safe computing policies. Is self-learning and automatically updated so that existing policies and restrictions will apply to even the newest software without additional administration. Monitors the use of individual users allowing for specific controls while not impeding the access of other users. Is an effective way to create and enforce policies that allow for the appropriate use of computers while eliminating, abuse, overuse or inappropriate use. Is hacker resistant. Attempts to tamper with or disable WallFly will cause an alert to be emailed to the parent. Renaming files or installing new games does not fool WallFly. WallFly is the only software program currently available using a policy-driven technique to transparently monitor and control the how, what, and when of computer use. WallFly is easy to use, yet highly sophisticated. It requires no experience with or knowledge of specific programs, and requires no maintenance.

I have already spoken to Dr. Block. He is stepping out, where no one else, that I know of, has gone before, to help with this gaming issue.

When you contact him, please tell him you are there to help him BETA test the WALLFLY product for gamers and that you heard about this from On-Line Gamers Anonymous, so he knows where you are coming from.
