Yes I like playing games - still.
Yes I thk you can call playing games an hobby - still.
So I thk you could set yourself an upper limit - I won't play more than - hours per week.
If you play more, you lose
So how many hours per week is healthy ?
Less than 10 is ok.
10-20 is a grey zone
20-30 is unhealthy.
More than 30 is addiction.
Does not apply to everybody, but I like hard numbers, that is me.
Though I have problems with RPG games where you "camp" a lot - you might be doing other things while playing. In that case apply a 50% modifier if you, say, play and surf the net at the same time.
Or check exactly how much time you spend on that window !
Pfffffffff, I do 30 hours EASILY just on Friday - Sunday.
And you're proud of that? heh.
I'm surprised you didn't ask for people's accounts here, you do that in every other post you make.

When people wants to stop smoking, a good idea is keeping track of how many cigarettes you smoke a day.
If you want to cut down on a habit which is not bad in moderation (playing games, watching TV and so on) a good idea is keeping track of the hours you play in a week and set yourself goals. For this week I set my quota to 15 hours, my goal is 12 hours per week.
On my calendar I'll write down how many hours I played, each day. If I dont do that I know I might not be able to stop myself from playing if "I don't have anything better to do"
