Hey guys. Couldn't find a forum for "gaming addiction" in the news, just for OLGA in the news, so I decided to post this here... if it's the wrong place, please move it. ;)
Anyway, I found this video newscast on Yahoo News, and thought I'd share it. It's mostly about Facebook and Myspace addiction, which I have seen several new members to OLGA/OLG-Anon mention having a problem with.

That's where you can find it. Hope some of you find it useful.

The video was fairly short, but to the point, and I enjoyed watching and listening to it. Every news article, video, television show, movie, etc., even if it is short and/or reaches only a small audience, that is related to this addiction problem, helps to slowly raise the consciousness of the general public that this problem actually exists and can be serious for some people. Although most people coming here have a problem with video games of some type, I also have seen quite a few people with Second Life addiction problems, as well as a few people who have problems with products like Facebook and Myspace. Although I at least do not classify them as video games, they are similar to them, especially the MMO's and other on-line games, in that they involve virtual communities. Unfortunately, I think that as technology progresses and people start using the Internet and WWW more and more with these types of products, we will start seeing more people coming here with addiction problems to these products.
