I have to do a survey for my psychology class, asking 10 males and 10 females how many shoes they have at their current place of residence. I'm hypothesising that males will have 25 percent fewer on average, but we'll see...
Any help that this community could give me would be greatly appreciated. I'm not recording names or personal info, just gender and number of shoes.

I'm a man. I currently have tennis shoes, brown dress shoes, black dress shoes, and on occasion I"ll have steel toe boots, flip flops, and an extra pair of tennis shoes. So I guess that makes 6, although I only know where the tennis shoes are and would have to hunt for any of the others.
Just to throw a spanner in the works, my step-dad has 40 pairs of shoes. They are all pretty much the same too, he has like 10 pairs of black dress shoes, 10 pairs of runners, 10 pairs of steel-caps-I call him Imelda Marcos. My mother, on the other hand, has 8 pairs.
2 brown, 2 black, 2 sneakers, 1 flip flop, 2 house shoes (gets cold here), 1 lion feet, 2 boots (1 regular 1 rain), 12 total

I counted and have 27, including winter shoes/boots, summer shoes/sandals, work shoes, dressy shoes, gym shoes, and a pair of cowboy boots that I only wear once a year. But I need them all, I swear ;)

I am a recovering computer game and gambling addict. My recovery birthday: On May 6, 2012 I quit games and began working a program of recovery through OLGA No computer games or slot games for me since December 12, 2012. No solitaire games with real cards since June 2013.
