What we do when we are no longer gaming

Hi everyone,

I just spent a fantastic day out hiking with my friends from the men's group of my church.

Here is me in in between Bob, Julian and Russell.

I have made a deliberate effort to connect with other people in the time since I stopped gaming. We men have a special difficulty because, well, because we are men!

To overcome this handicapp, some friends and I started a men's group/ministry at our church. Here is our mission statement:

Our Mission Statement
Our purpose is to help men lead a God First life, making them instruments of change in their families, church and world.
Our Values
As Christian men we are upbeat and fun loving
As Christian men we are caring, safe, non-threatening and transparent
As Christian men we are open and welcoming
As Christian men we are Christ centered, generous and evangelistic
As Christian men we are challenging and accountable

Which is all fine and good, but for me it is an opportunity to be open with other men, explore friendship without judgement. And of course...hug each other every once in a while.
