I found this online petition who's aim is to bring awareness to video game addiction. The petition's creators are hoping to secure enough signatures to send to the AMA to ask for online gaming addiction to be included in the DSM V. They invite you to include a short paragraph on how online gaming addiction has impacted you.
There are only 17 signatures, and their goal is 1,000. I just wanted to spread the word in case anyone was interested. Here is the link:

The intent is appreciated, but this has been moved to "Other Gaming Related News" and we should take care to note that the petition and the AMA's deliberations are 'Outside Issues' that OLGA/OLG-Anon does not take any position on. Brad, on behalf of the board admins

Although a great idea in theory and I fully support movements of this sort as an individual the site offering the petition is not being complelely straightforward in their approach. Please before sigining this petition read closely the terms of service agreement you are accepting and understand that this petition site is managed and run by an ad spamming agency that by agreeing to their terms of service you cannot opt out of. They ask for an email address and a physical address. I am opting to 'not' sign this petition as I feel they have confused the issue of helping this cause out (gaming addiciton) by polluting it with their own agenda of spamming advertisement information, sending you junk mail and links to shopping services etc. Although their intent on the surface appears to be for a good cause I do not trust their full intent Just my two cents Dignified Dude
Thanks D.D. Just another reason for OLGA/OLG-Anon to steer clear of appearing to endorse this petition.
