The Co-existing sites

Ok,having just stopped guild wars,i can tell you i spent way too much time on the game.Hence why im here. But i also know i spent WAY TOO MUCH time on www.pvxwiki.com and the guild wars wiki page. Pvxwiki gives players builds to make them better,a site which i scrolled through for a good hour or so,and the guildwars wiki, literally, reading TOTAL NONSENSE. Things i had no need to know,i found myself reading, thanks to just about everything having a hyperlink to another page. Before you know it,you've crawled through nearly all of the website, and spent another good couple of hours doing so.These sites can be just as dangerous as the game in my opinion, and if not already mentioned, deserve a very notable reference.

He who has doubt has fear and to know one's fear is to know yourself.Yet,you dont know.Because somewhere,in the subconscious of your very being, lies doubt. Fear is a paradox in itself. Fear is to be afraid, almost petrified.Yet,although a cliche, Fear is the greatest Fear of all. Hence i have a simple message.Do not hesitate.Act with reason.Step forward.Dont blame someone else if it goes wrong. To do this,is to become free.Of fear,of doubt and indeed,of yourself.

I found when I quit playing

I found when I quit playing WoW that I had to stop visiting all the sites related to the game that I posted on regularly, be it the official WoW-Europe forums, Maintankadin, WoWJutsu, Elitist Jerks, various LiveJournal communities... It was so easy to waste time on them during server downtime, at work... pretty much making it feel like I was never away from the game! I would agree that the related sites can be a massive fuel for gaming addiction.

This is how I look at this

This is how I look at this issue. It's actually quite simple. If you're at the guild site, help sites, or other information sites about a game, you're gaming. Being online with your character, etc. is only the most powerful form, but its all gaming. So of course the other sites have to go when you leave. :|
