On a more serious note - the forum is probably a set format so the inclusion of a spellchecker may not be possible. I may be wrong.

You can try writing your posts in word first, then pasting and copying into the thread. Alternately, you can accept that we are all just human and making the odd mistake is part of that.

The forums are not in a set

The forums are not in a set format, so it is possible to add a spell checker. As I recall, when this new Web site was being set up, a spell checker was considered, but either we did not find one available, or none were deemed to be suitable.

As for copying and pasting from Word (or some other word processor) to here, be careful with it including some formatting type text that may cause problems for some browsers, especially Internet Explorer. It may be better to first paste the text into Notepad, copy that from there, and then paste it here. That is what I personally do as I use Word's grammar and spell checker to minimize my errors in my posts.

  I believe JamesW

I believe JamesW evaluated a couple spell checkers and found them to be somewhat resource hogs. Based on his findings and our somewhat limited resources, I beleive he elected not to install one.
