Hands on Research: The Science of Touch

Fascinating article and video by The Greater Good Science Center on how touch impacts our quality of life.

Acceptance. When I am disturbed, it is because a person, place, thing, or situation is unacceptable to me. I find no serenity until I accept my life as being exactly the way it is meant to be. Nothing happens in God’s world by mistake.  Acknowledge the problem, but live the solution!

This is why sevice dogs

This is why sevice dogs work! And why gaming and Internet addicts are not healthy! People need touch and when we lack it, people are ill, particularly children whose brains are not fully developed.

Stuart Brown, MD did over 30 years of research on play and wrote a book called "Play". Dr. Brown said kids that have rough-n-tumble play grow up healthy. However, those who don't are really, really emotionally impaired.
