I am a Licensed Educational Psychologist. I have a Masters degree in Educational Psychology with an emphasis on counseling psychology. I have spent the past 34 years developing expertise in counseling children, adolescents and young adults, coaching parents, and assisting individuals with learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disabilities, and other developmental and social/emotional challenges. I was named Outstanding School Psychologist of the Year by the California Association of School Psychologists (CASP), and am a past president of the Ventura County Association of School Psychologists. I have a special interest in brief, creative, solution-focused approaches to counseling. In addition to teaching graduate-level classes at two local universities, I have presented professional workshops at the state and national level and have published articles on a variety of topics.
In recent years more and more parents are coming to me with concerns about technology "overuse". I have educated myself about this subject and have developed workshops for parents and professionals on Technology "Addiction" that have been well received.
Any resources: I am communicating with Jeannette Day about beginning a local support group for parents in Ventura County, CA.
