I'm a relapsed gamer. I was doing well two years ago and had a sponsor but then I got cocky and didn't think I needed a sponsor anymore. I gradually fell back into gaming. I spend a lot of time on the computer as it is since I am a writer and to relieve my writing stress, I would game. I am right-handed and currently my right hand and wrist are so painful, there are many things I cannot do with my hand. I thought this would stop me cold gaming. However, I am now gaming with my left hand. If I wreck that hand, I will have no hands. I am an idiot! I am a writer and an artist. I need to save my hands for that important work. I tried to go to a meeting tonight but I was too late. I think the meetings used to be at 10. Anyway, I will go to a meeting tomorrow. Thank you! I am hopeful that I can stop gaming again as I did two years ago.

Welcome back! I hope you're able to get back in touch with your sponsor. Talking directly with another person about my gaming problems helped me get honest about it and see that I needed to make some changes.
No, we compulsive gamers are not idiots, any more than someone with OCD or a bi-polar disorder is an idiot for suffering from their conditions. I suffered from obsession, compulsion, delusion, and denial. I was not well. Once i started taking care of myself and treating my condition, I started making better decisions and my life got better. I'm sure you can recover too.
Thanks so much Richie! I'm gonna try to get to the meeting tonight. I'm a little confused about the meetings. One place says it's at 9 o'clock the other one says it's at 10 – the mumble meeting. It's a little problematic because I can only type using voice-activated software so I have to see how that works in the meeting. Thanks again. I haven't gamed today. My husband has blocked games on my computer. It feels good not to have gamed so far today. And I intend not to game today
